12hh Chestnut Mare: Charlie had been with us for 5 years since she out grew by her last family of 4 children, who did all the Pony Club activities. She was the old lady of the yard, was believed to be able to read numbers, as when taking young children to their first show (despite their sometimes misplaced steering) she always seemed to know the way!
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING YOU WILL EVER SEE!
Chestnut, black or maybe grey
Roan and skewbald or even bay
Their favourites sounds are whinnies and neighs
Don’t forget to groom them everyday.
Stripe, blaze or maybe star
Remember to love them wherever you are
They can go much faster than a bike or car
They gallop and canter and can go quite far
Their mane and tail swishes and floats
Their favourite food is yummy oats
You need lots of blankets and warm cosy coats
They spook a lot, mainly at boats.
And there you might guess that our favourite thing is a horse
We love them and hug them and kiss them of course
We have written this poem in love of our ponies
COCO, THISTLE AND CHARLIE.
